Milly & Grace Winner

11/19/13

Here is a horrible photo of me, because I am horrible. I haven't cooked or blogged in far too long. HELP! Tell me something delicious to make for dinner. (Also I chopped my hair off.)

I do have some good news though. The winner of the cake stand is Julie (the Julie who liked the ceramic berry basket). Julie, please email me your contact info!

I will be back soon with some yummy food, once you tell me what that yummy food will be. GO...

This is a great weekend meal (since it takes a few hours to cook) that is very tasty. It makes some great leftovers too. Only note is that we added a little more than 2 TBSP of brown sugar and fish sauce. Probably more like 2 1/2 TBSP. And the red bell pepper is key.

Funny, I was going to ask you for a spaghetti squash recipe. I'm not kidding. Anyway, How about a chicken pot pie? And not those lame ones with just a puff pastry on top. One in actual pie crust. I have a yummy recipe if you need it. And the hair looks great!

Stuffed pasta shells! But healthy style. (Or as healthy as stuffed pasta shells can get.)

Sweet potato and black bean tacos with onion, cilantro, and lime juice. Little cumin, coriander, and cayenne. Yum! And, your hair is adorable! Enjoy the change.

Your hair looks beautiful, I chopped mine off after the second child also... I've got some amazing thanksgiving recipes, I've made this rediciously delicious pumpkin cheesecake bar recipe about 8 times since I started harvesting my pumpkins. I made a really good pumpkin Mac and cheese last Sunday for Shane and his friends, it has roasted garlic and Caramelized onions in it. I'll share any and all let me know whatever your heart desires!

What about some easy, crowd pleasing appetizers for Thanksgiving? I am in charge of that for a big group (newly married and going to his family's for turkey day). With such a large group, I don't think I'll have oven access for the apps.

Love the hair!

Lettuce wraps.....so good! Plus, you can healthify it up by using ground chicken or turkey instead of ground beef. Also, seriously, dice up a crapload of portabella mushrooms and saute them up after the meat. And definitely make this dipping sauce suggested in the comments (apparently a knockoff of PF Changs? Whisk together 1 tsp sesame oil, 2 T soy, 2 T rice vinegar, 1 T chile paste)

Or if you want to make the kiddos in the house happy, these grown up chicken fingers are yummy! I seasoned my flour and chicken up though with salt and pepper and stuff, otherwise they are a little bland. Oh, and I baked them, not fried them. :)
