Almond Oat Lace Cookies

12/9/11

If you're sick of me baking cookies this month well then, go away.  There is no end in sight.
These crunchy delights were found in this month's Bon Appetit magazine, recipe here.
I won't lie to your face, though, they weren't exactly fun to make.  The dough was crumbly and hard to work with...

...but I was a tiny bit short on butter so that might have been why.
Also, Dear Martha Stewart...

...you should go back to jail for selling this product.

Crabby morning Siri aside, the cookies are DELICIOUS.
Perfect texture, full of nutty flavor, drizzled in chocolate, and because they're so thin you sort of feel like you can eat 12.  Eat 12!

A great recipe I can't wait to try out. I love Almond Lace Cookies and those brave enough to try them! I wish more would.

I came up with my own version of a Almond Lace Cookies, or as I sometimes call them, Broomstick cookies. While different from your own, I think mine is a unique take on the dish. I'm new to the Food Blog scene and would love some feedback from a pro like you. Check out my recipe if have time.
