Christmas Cookies

12/9/10

I love Christmas cookies. Spending entire weekends baking up various kinds until they cover every inch of your countertops. Making baskets for friends, neighbors, doctors and local bartenders. As a kid, I would help my mom bake mint bars, fudge, peanut butter balls and seven layer bars. Now that I'm all growned up, I've been starting my own baking traditions. Every year, I make these...

Chocolate Truffles circa Christmas 2009. I also like to make White Chocolate Peppermint Bark and Dried Cranberry & Dark Chocolate Chunk Cookies. But I like to try something new each year. Thinking about these:

Salted Chocolate Caramels

Sweet, Buttery Polvorones

Chewy Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies

What do you love to make each year?

OMG, if you make those salted carmels, I will send you money for some - not kidding! It's not likely that I would take this kind of challenge on myself - I have no time for life these days. :)
