Happy Friday the 13th Internet People!
Any of you superstitious? I sort of am. But my superstition merges with my crazy OCD. Kissing the outside of the plane every time I fly... superstition. Making sure the temp in my car is always at an even number or an odd number ending in 5... OCD. Maaaaaaaajor OCD. Anyway, I digress.
Did you know there are some very odd food superstitions? For example, it used to be that if you found a hole in your bread it "symbolized a coffin and meant that someone was soon to die. If a person found a loaf in this state, there would be days of discussion to guess who it might be that would be stricken down."
Check out my holey bread...
Yikes. I don't want anyone to die. But really, have you ever seen a piece of bread withOUT a hole in it? This is why nobody should pay attention to superstitions. (Or odd numbers that don't end in 5.)

My sister's boyfriend is Polish and they spend the summers there every year. She was cracking us up with all of their superstitions -- like they all freak if she walks around with her hair wet after a shower because they say that will make you catch a draft and get sick. His grandmother would follow her around with a blow-dryer every single time begging her to use it.
I'm not really superstitious, but I do knock on wood occasionally (and wish on wishbones, and rub a lucky rabbit's foot). So maybe I am a little superstitious (or OCD as you mentioned). Happy Friday the 13th! Ironically enough, that's what I wrote about today too. Haha.

I don't think I am very superstitious and I never heard that about the bread, that is really a good one...like you said how often does bread not have holes in it!
I am super OCD as well - I count everything! And my alarm clock always has to wake me up on a 7 - 5:47, 6:17, 7:27, etc. You are not weird, we all do crazy stuff. I even have to check to make sure the door is locked twice - one time with each hand - who's OCD now? :)
