A friend of ours just gave us some fruits and vegetables from his garden, including some lemon cucumbers and a crooked neck squash. What are these?! Other than fun-looking foods that you can turn into the number 17? I would love some suggestions and/or recipes that don't include making more numbers.

NO idea, but that is what google is for, right? The crooked neck squash reminds me of gourds in fall, or a strange lumpy orange goose with no head. I'm weird today.
I think you have watched too many Sesame Streets when the first thing you think to do with vegetables is write the number "17". :)
I say this... because I too, have watched TOO many Sesame Streets :)
