What I Ate For Dinner Last Night

We're preparing to go on vacation for 3 weeks, and our fridge looks like it belongs in an episode of Cribs (Mom, Cribs was a show on MTV that featured the homes and refrigerators of rappers, and rappers only eat alcohol and ketchup).

Therefore, cooking dinner last night was like playing the game How To Make Food Out Of Alcohol And Ketchup (don't try that at home, kids). We ate our son's mac & cheese, his frozen turkey meatballs, some corn on the cob, and a saute of any vegetable we could find. I think food might taste better when you're playing this kind of game! Try it, it's fun being resourceful because it means you're allowed to eat your son's mac & cheese.

Sauteed onions, green peppers, mushrooms, zucchini and frozen broccoli...

Mixed with spicy Arrabiata...

What did you eat for dinner last night?

(p.s. Our 3-week vacation will include lots of cooking and blogging, so don't worry. Oh. You weren't worried? I thought we were friends...)

  4. I made egg salad, and served it open face on an English muffin with sliced radishes and avocado. That's my alcohol and ketchup story...
