I love Christmas cookies. Spending entire weekends baking up various kinds until they cover every inch of your countertops. Making baskets for friends, neighbors, doctors and local bartenders. As a kid, I would help my mom bake mint bars, fudge, peanut butter balls and seven layer bars. Now that I'm all growned up, I've been starting my own baking traditions. Every year, I make these...
Chocolate Truffles circa Christmas 2009. I also like to make White Chocolate Peppermint Bark and Dried Cranberry & Dark Chocolate Chunk Cookies. But I like to try something new each year. Thinking about these:
Salted Chocolate Caramels
Sweet, Buttery Polvorones
Chewy Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies
What do you love to make each year?
short stack and i did sugar cookies this year. nothing fancy, but dang they were the best sugar cookies i've ever had! she loved "painting" them with frosting.
ReplyDeleteOMG, if you make those salted carmels, I will send you money for some - not kidding! It's not likely that I would take this kind of challenge on myself - I have no time for life these days. :)
