I followed the recipe instructions on the package...
But they ended up looking like balls of mud...
No matter. I trimmed the bottoms, set them atop a pillow of snow (powdered sugar), and it started to look like a real village...
Until it was attacked by Giant Marshmallow Trees and Snowmen and a million sprinkles...
(A 5 year-old was in charge.)
