15 Minutes

1/3/12

Listen guys, I know I've been slacking.  I've been gone for almost 2 weeks and haven't cooked a thing in that time.  I went to the market yesterday and wandered around aimlessly like I had forgotten how to food shop.  What's this cart thing?  Why are all these people here? WHERE ARE THE DONUTS?!  Last night I cooked dinner that took me 3 hours to make.  How do I chop?  Where do I keep the strainer again?  WHERE ARE THE DONUTS?

What I'm trying to convey here is I'm a mess and need direction.  What do you want me to cook?

This is unrelated to my whining rant, but you must see this.  Myself AND the blog made a special appearance on the local NBC news station in my hometown of Eagan, Minnesota.

I don't know who that woman is, but I want to know her.  I want her to replace every, single female news anchor in Los Angeles.

Ha, that's kind of how I feel right now. It's back to reality! What if you made chicken pot pie? That's my fave. And love your spotlight on the local news:)

Cool, Siri! You are famous. :-) How about one pot meals? Like things you can make using only your dutch oven for example. Coq au vin, beef bourginon (sp? I'm not french!), chicken and dumplings, chicken cacciatore (I'm not Italian either!). you get the idea.

Hi and happy new year to you and your family. Just stumbled across your blog and I LOVE. U funny! :) Would also love to see EASY things you can get ready and serve at different times. I have 3 kids and we don't always get to sit down to a civilized meal.

That news anchor was hilarious.

I second the one pot meals. For those of us who only wish we could be as crafty in the kitchen as you are. But are too lazy to try and prefer to just watch you do it instead.
