Spaghetti & Garlic

The evening sky in Los Angeles was all sorts of beautiful last night. We even had a mini thunderstorm, double rainbow and all. (Trust me, there were enough of these jokes to go around, therefore I will refrain.) Carson was working late, so I was on my own for dinner. Guess what happens when I'm on my own for dinner? Pasta. Pasta happens. Here's what I did...

Sauteed two cloves of garlic in olive oil with some red pepper flakes, panko bread crumbs and salt...

Cooked some spaghetti until al dente. Added a small amount of pasta water to my garlic mixture and a lot of Parmesan cheese...

Tossed in the pasta...

I was going to put a fried egg on top, but suddenly I realized it was 9pm and my boyfriend was already home watching me eat my fatty meal. And I was embarrassed.

Try adding peas and whole wheat pasta. With the whole wheat you dont have to feel guilty and it adds a great texture....ALso, this is about the only way I will eat peas. They are sweet and pop all yummily in your mouth. Im pretty sure I just made up a word.
