Bacon Marmalade Puff Pastry Bites
If you're like me, then you enjoy bacon chocolate and bacon toothpaste (that's gotta exist, right?). So when a friend of mine suggested I try Bacon Marmalade I did not hesitate. Words won't do this stuff justice! It's the perfect amount of salty, crunchy bacon and the perfect amount of sweetness. So far I've only tried it in a puff pastry appetizer but I'm betting the uses for this product are endless. I will be doing a giveaway with this jar of goodness SOON.
Bacon Marmalade Puff Pastry Bites
(Makes 20)
Printable Recipe
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
Bacon Marmalade, roughly 2 T
Cherry tomatoes, sliced
Shaved Parmesan
Olive oil spray
Flour
Preheat oven to 350. Place puff pastry on lightly floured surface. Use a small cookie cutter (or shot glass like me) to cut 20 circles. Place circles on baking sheet that you have sprayed with olive oil. Poke each circle with a fork. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. When they come out, if they have puffed up, poke them again with a fork.
Top each puff pastry circle with a dab of Bacon Marmalade. (Olive Tapanade is good too, I did half and half.) Then add tomato...
...and shaved Parmesan.
Place back in oven and bake for another 10 minutes or until cheese has melted.
THE PERFECT BITE! (Oh dear, I just looked up how you spell "bite" because I suddenly thought it was BIGHT.)
YAY! So glad you tried it. It's a bit addicting. You may find yourself spooning it out of the jar while sleepwalking...
