Fruit Salad with Limoncello
Did everyone have a nice Memorial Day weekend? I spent mine in 107 degree heat. HELLO summer! And to cap off the summery weekend, last night I made a delicious dessert courtesy of the lovely Ina Garten. Red and blue berries with white greek yogurt, go America! The berries were soaked in Limoncello, and the non-fat Greek yogurt was sweetened with a touch of honey and vanilla (I omitted the lemon curd). I added bananas and blackberries because my raspberries had little white fuzzy goo all over them.
Now, I am someone who usually does not consider something dessert unless it's dripping in chocolate, but I LOVED this fruit salad. It could work for breakfast, a snack, dessert, etc. Here's the recipe. TRY IT NOW!
I want this. Now.
ReplyDeleteThere are M&M's in your fruit salad, I swear!
ReplyDeleteI love Limoncello. I had a pretty good Limoncello bread pudding once, but this sounds much better for this hot weather.
ReplyDeleteMmmm! Sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the heat! It's suppose to be 108 by this weekend.. ouch! This fruit salad looks and sounds fantastic! I can't wait to try it.
